Easter Egg Raffle
In conjunction with other Lions Clubs in the South-East of England,
Leatherhead Lions again ran a successful operation, organising a
raffle of large Easter Eggs, to raise money for the local Air
Ambulance and other charities.
Each centre, most of whom were shops and pubs, sold tickets for their
own egg at £1 a ticket, making a profit if more than 30 tickets
were sold, with a maximum of 100. We are very grateful to the centres
who took part and to the generous people who bought tickets.
A profit of about £800 was made, and most of this will be
combined with the other clubs'
contributions to Surrey Air Ambulance.
